Colin is working with local councillors, like Cllr Derris Watson, to make sure the Government understands how strongly local people feel about keeping local Post Offices

Hundreds of responses have been flooding in to Colin Breed MP's recent Post Office post card campaign to save local branches.

Colin said: "Thank you to all those who have responded to this campaign - showing just how strongly local people feel about protecting our local Post Offices."

"Whether it is providing vital postage or benefits services, or acting as the heart of rural communities as a meeting place for local people, many local branches are irreplaceable. Many local shops will also be lost if these closures go ahead. We cannot let this happen."

"I only hope that, when the Government publish the list of Post Offices under threat, that our local branches are not amongst them. However, if they are, I will make sure that your voices are heard and we campaign as hard as possible in the consultation period to keep every branch open."
